Biography

Brianne McLaughlin-Bittle grew up in Elyria, Ohio playing for the Elyria Panther and Elyria Catholic boys programs. She went on to play Division I hockey at Robert Morris University where she set an NCAA record for most saves (3,809). From there she was recruited to join Team USA and competed in two Olympic Games and 3 World Championships. McLaughlin finished her playing career in the women’s professional league playing for the Buffalo Beauts, winning the Isobel Cup and being awarded the MVP of the game with 74 saves. Brianne ran her own hockey training facility for ten years in Pittsburgh, PA as well as being the goalie coach for both the men’s and women’s Division I programs, making her the first female coach in men’s Division I hockey history. McLaughlin remains coaching with USA Hockey.
